We all have the calls basic emotions: surprise, disgust, fear, joy, sadness and anger or rage.

Anger or anger is one of the basic emotions that all people have and that, in addition, is a very common emotion which usually happens almost every day, a delay in a line, a fine, I meet someone and they don't show up, my coffee spills on me, they are little setbacks every day that make that emotion surface.

We tell you how you can teach children to control their anger and rage.

As we grow, and we accumulate a greater number of experiences, we are acquiring resources, strategies and skills to manage these moments of anger in a way that does not harm our day, that does not alter our emotional balance.

Well it is true that, until we learn to manage and we dominate these moments, situations or anger, we go through a period of emotional adaptation. It is like learning something for the first time, first you have little notions, then you master only a part, until in the end you fully control it and it allows you to manage it to your interest.

When it comes to our children, we can choose to two slopes:

1- As life goes by, develop your own strategies based on the experiences you are experiencing.

2- Teach them little techniques so that they can manage anger in a different way.

I, I lean towards the second, and I recommend that you do these 2 simple techniques with your children:

1- Teach them to breathe. The best strategy to manage and control an anger is breathing. Breathing is not simply inhaling and exhaling, but it is becoming aware of the moment, here and now, putting on a balance and calibrating the positive and negative of the situation that led us to anger.

2- Give time. Teach to know and detect when we are being prey to an emotion and it does not allow us to act freely, understanding that it leads us to a wrong behavior and attitude. Our best version is always calm and quiet. It is best to allow time for the child to calm down on his own.

People who know the emotional world, we know that emotions should not be covered or hidden, but must be managed. An anger must be spent recognizing the emotional state that I find myself and channeling it towards different attitudes such as positive thoughts, ignoring it, distracting ourselves with another activity, etc.
